Today we are pleased to announce the release of Portainer Business 2.4 (our licensed version of Portainer).
This is a significant release as it includes a number of pieces of functionality specifically requested by our customers. Specifically, the release gives Portainer users tighter governance and security controls over their implementations.
Read the release notes here https://documentation.portainer.io/releasenotes/
In this release we have added:
1) Authentication Logs - it's now possible to see who has attempted to log into your Portainer instance, with what username, from which IP address, and the result (success/failure)
2) Activity Logs - it's now possible to see what your users have been doing within Portainer, so you can keep a record of any privileged actions undertaken.
3) Portainer Backups - you can now backup and restore your Portainer settings, either for DR purposes, or to move your Portainer instance from one cluster to another.
4) RBAC Operator Role - you can now assign a role called "Operator" to your users; this role provides the ability to start/stop existing containers/apps, but not provide any ability to create or delete.
To upgrade, see https://documentation.portainer.io or to test drive the new version, visit our live demo environment.
